Heather & Justin closed out my wedding season for 2017! It was an incredibly and unusually hot day for mid October, but it made a great environment for an outdoor ceremony and photos to follow!
I started the day with the ladies in their hotel room, collecting candid photos and detail shots and the bridal party and family bustled about the room. The girls were wearing adorable matching robes with their titles embroidered on the back. The bride loves pink and all things that sparkle so there was no shortage of glitter and glitz from the dress, to the jewelry, and even the shiny and pink cookies in the room! When the ladies were ready we hustled over to Ferrante's Lakeview for an outdoor ceremony.
As the ceremony began, it was led and proceeded by various family members. It included handwritten vows by each the bride and groom, which conveniently resembled each other rather closely! Friends and family watched with smiling faces and tears as Heather and Justin concluded with a self uniting ring exchange and ceremony. We then gathered the families to take many group photos for the bride and groom to commemorate this special day with the ones they love! The fall colors were lacking for an October wedding, but the surrounding area of the venue had stunning shades of green that looked incredible with the pinks of the dresses and the lighting even further enhanced all of the sparkling details.
After we finished with outdoor photos, the bride and groom were rushed away for their big entrance! The night continued with food, drinks, laughter, and of course dancing! The details of the wedding were unique to the couple including bright pink lilies, various books, and poems about love across each table. They even put a fun and unique spin on the bouquet tradition! They put a bouquet in a clear box wrapped in chains and a lock. Each single lady received and key and had their chance to try their luck on the lock to see who had the matching key. The couple made sure to continue their night with loved ones, even having the bride dance one by one with each guest! The night concluded with stealing the bride and groom away for some quick moments under the beautifully lit gazebo. And of course, some more dancing!
I'm so grateful that we had the opportunity to photograph Heather & Justin's wedding day! It was a great way to end the 2017 wedding season!
